About this item
The UK Saad is our entry-level tape ball bat. It's made from Rawalakot wood from Pakistan, Grade B+, with a half cane handle, and weighs 850–900 g. It's a good first bat for street cricket, school friends and anyone who wants a budget spare in the kit bag.
The blade carries a black sticker with a yellow UK logo and the Saad name, and the handle has a yellow grip.
The maker finishes these bats with an epoxy coating, a hardener liquid that hardens and seals the surface of the wood, and lacquer for shine, all to help the bat last longer.
Use it with tape balls or tennis balls only, not leather (hard) balls. Keep it dry, out of hot sun and away from a hot car boot, and stand it on its handle rather than its toe.
If you play every day or in tournaments, look at the UK Jango (full cane) or one of our coconut wood bats. Add a tin of tape balls and a pack of ball tape to get playing.
