Tape Ball vs Tapeless Ball vs Loose Ball: Which One Is Right for Your Game?
Shop this guide (5)
Street cricket in Pakistan runs on three kinds of ball, and it's easy to mix them up. Here's what each one is, how we sell it, and when to choose it.
Tape balls
Tape balls are made to be wrapped in electrical tape before you play. Our tape balls from Wizal, Yorker, CA, Ihsan X-99, Dunlop Fort and Speed all come 3 to an air-tight pack, so the balls stay fresh until you open them, and every brand has a dozen option of 4 packs.
Choose tape balls if: you play proper tape ball matches or tournaments and want fresh balls in a sealed pack.
Tapeless balls
A tapeless ball is played straight out of the box, with no tape at all. Our tapeless ball is Super Bouncer, sold as a single ball or a dozen.
Choose a tapeless ball if: you want to skip taping, for quick games, practice or backyard cricket. It doesn't play like a taped ball, so try one before buying a dozen.
Loose balls (70 mm)
Loose balls are yellow felt balls sold on their own rather than in a sealed pack. We stock Imran Sports, Imran Gold, GA Plus and Shine, all 70 mm, singly or by the dozen.
Choose loose balls if: you want an everyday ball for practice and nets, or you like to tape single balls yourself.
